I thought we better write a brief note to let you know what we've been up to these first couple of days in Palm Springs. President Abama has left Palm Springs last Monday afternoon after staying a few days here. Well just to let you know ( try to keep this hush hush ) we've been quite busy entertaining while he's been here. Weather has been really nice - lows of 25 and highs of around 40 degrees. Been lousy today - seen two clouds. Sarah has been doing around 30 laps each morning in the pool - she's loving that. It's good to be able to park the GPS and meander around places we know. We stopped off to buy some clothes for the grand kids and the girl ( 19 ish )that served us asked where we were from. We said NZ and that got her excited. She used to play rugby at high school and her favourite team is the ABs although she doesn't see much rugby on tv because that channel costs too much. Petrol prices vary from state to state - cheapest so far $3.25 and most expensive $4.75. I'll have to post a photo of a humming bird when I manage to take one. They're quite small and move quickly like our fantails. Amazing little birds. We went to the Skechers factory shop at Moreno Valley today and this place is bigger than the aircraft hangars at work. It's near a half a mile long. If you want walking shoes/ sneakers or any footwear like that you must visit. You maybe interested Andrew. Take care guys.
I just cant do it Scotty - it has to be a chocolate malt.
