A Travellerspoint blog

Last day of our road trip - now for a break in Palm Springs

sunny 40 °C

This trip has been a blast in fact we both recommend the route we used. Lots of good times, lots of interesting people ( as well as the coolest dude of the whole trip in Santa Fe )and places along the way. Highlights would be - Death Valley, Sarah's race driving, Monument valley, Arty Santa Fe, Navajo Indians ( Sarah said she is part Navajo now ) and the lovely warm weather. Radio stations in the car have varied along the way in the last few days with not so flash music - Calf Country FM near Gallup to one of the best Kool FM in Phoenix and River Rat Radio near Blythe today being in the middle. We arrived in Palm Springs around 3pm had a bite to eat after checking in then into the pool. We then headed to town for a malt - Sarah a vanilla and me a chocolate ( I'm sorry Scotty there's no other flavour ). We've gone through about 50 half litre bottles of water so far on our trip. Thanks to the people that have commented in our blog - Scotty, Corrine, Owen and Andrew. The mileage so far weve done is 3600km. We both are really looking forward to the pool, a bit of shopping and the best coffee in California at Koffi about one block from where we are staying. I cant remember the date or day at the moment so I really hope we remember to come back to work. Take care.
