Heading now to Zuni peublo

sunny 26 °C

We again had a nice cooked breakfast ( probably don't really need it ) but it looked too good to say no. Took a few outside photos of where we were staying and then headed into the farmers market that was closed yesterday. Had the best coffee near the railway station we've had so far. Sarah nabbed the car keys and wouldn't let go so she drove down to Gallup on our was to Zuni. Gallup is no great place to stay and we were glad we had chosen somewhere a little more interesting. All the day was mostly freeway driving with lots of speed restrictions because of roadworks. Lots of goods train that were running parallel with us and one pulled by 6 engines. ( you maybe more impressed if you're a bloke ). Quite windy when we arrived in Zuni and blows around heaps of dust. It our second B and B experience. The Inn is on the Zuni reservation so we had to pay $10 to take any photos and its an alcohol free zone. We may have to drink twice as much tomorrow.

Late afternoon smoke from big fires nearby

Around 7400 acre fire in the hills 25 miles from where we are staying. Depends which way the wind is blowing as to how much smoke you smell. Hasn't been uncomfortable.
